An impressive Passing Out Parade was held at Air Force Station, Avadi on December 29, 2017 to induct 320 Airmen Trainees of Automobile Technician and Air Force Police Trades into the main stream of the Indian Air Force after undergoing rigorous training at Mechanical Technical Training Institute (MTTI) and Air Force Police & Security Training Institute (AFP & STI) at Air Force Station Avadi.
The parade was reviewed by Air Commodore CK Kumar, Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station Begumpet, Hyderabad. The Reviewing Officer complimented the passing out trainees for their immaculate turnout and excellent drill movements. While addressing the trainee air warriors, he emphasized that the country has reposed enormous trust in each one of them to safeguard the skies of the nation. He urged the air warriors to put sustained efforts towards continuous enhancement of knowledge and skills by keeping themselves abreast with the latest changes. He also advised the air warriors to maintain exemplary conduct at all times, in keeping with the ethos of the service. The parade culminated with an impressive demonstration of dismantling and assembly of Maruti Gypsy Vehicle within four minutes and Motorcycle drill by the passing out trainees.
Amongst the automobile technician trainees, the Best in Trade Trophy was awarded to Air Craftsman Saket Bhardwaj, Best in General Service Training was awarded to Air Craftsman Shubham Vishwakarma, Best All Rounder Trophy was awarded to Leading Air Craftsman Saif Alam Ansari. In Air Force Police & Security Training Institute (AFP & STI) Best in General Service Training was awarded to Air Craftsman Pradeep Pandav Vilas and Best All Rounder & Best in Trade Trophy was awarded to Leading Air Craftsman DK Patel.
