Lt Gen AK Choudhary took charge as Director General Military Operations. The General is an alumnus of NDA and IMA and was commissioned on December 22, 1974. The General Officer has had a distinguished career in both command and staff assignments.
Lt Gen AK Choudhary has been awarded Ati Vishisht Seva Medal, Sena Medal, Vishisht Seva Medal and the Chief of Army Staff's Commendation for gallantry and distinguished service to the nation.
Air Vice Marshal Raghunath Nambiar took over as the Commandant of Aircraft System Testing Establishment (ASTE) in Bangalore.
An alumnus of NDA, AVM Nambiar is also an Experimental Test Pilot and has flown more than 36 types of aircraft, with a total of over 4100 flying hours to his credit. He is also a member of the Society of Experimental Test Pilots.
Vice Admiral MP Muralidharan took over as Director General of the Indian Coast Guard. The Admiral is an alumnus of National Defence Academy and was commissioned into the Indian Navy on January 1, 1975. He is also a graduate of Defence Services Staff College, Wellington. In an illustrious career of over three-and-half decades, the Admiral has had several operational and staff appointments.
Dr Arvind Gupta, an officer of the Indian Foreign Service, took over charge as the Director General, Institute for Defence Studies and Analysis (IDSA). Prior to joining IDSA, Dr Gupta was Joint Secretary at the National Security Council Secretariat (NSCS). During his tenure at the NSCS, he dealt with a wide spectrum of national security issues.
