INDIAN ARMY PRESENTED WHEEL CHAIRS AT MENDHAR, POONCH

Indian Army distributed seven modern and user friendly Wheel Chairs at Mendhar, Poonch. The event aimed at assisting individuals from economically weaker sections of the society who required Wheel Chairs to carry out their daily chores. Distribution of Wheel Chairs, which are one of the most commonly used assistive aids for enhancing mobility, will open up new avenues for the beneficiaries to undertake some vocation, engage in social activities and gain access to other essential services. The Army officials attending the ceremony resolved to assist and support the Awam in various facets of their life by providing relief and succor to obviate their sufferings in the future also. The recipients and other members of the society, attending the function were extremely grateful to the Indian Army for this humanitarian initiative.
