Assam Rifles Organised Multiple Events to Celebrate National Unity Day, at Kohima Garrison Nagaland

Kohima Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of  HQ IGAR (North) commemorate the 144th birth anniversary of SardarVallabhbhai Patel, on Monday,  celebrated  National Unity Day by organised multiple events at various locations in Kohima District Nagaland on 31 Oct 2022.

‘RUN FOR UNITY’ was organised at multiple locations. It includes IG Stadium & Charlie Hill in Kohima city and Chakabama town of Kohima District in which a total of 400 participants ran at all three locations. Students and sports players voluntarily participated alongside troops of Kohima battalion in full zeal and enthusiasm.

‘CYCLING EVENT’  was organised at Kohima City from Classic Island to Assam Rifles Camp.  The rally was flagged off by Col Umesh Chandra Sati, Commandant Kohima Batallion . A total of 20 individuals took part in the event including cyclists from Nagaland Mountain Biking Association, Vollunteer Cyclists and troops of Kohima battalion.

‘PLEDGE TAKING CEREMONY’ In the spirit of unification , a Pledge taking ceremony was organised at various  locations under the AOR of Kohima Battalion to include Battalion HQ, Chakabama COB and IG Stadium  . A total of 200 individuals took the pledge for the same.
