National Integration Tour by  forever in operations Division

Padum is a remote town located in Ladakh (UT) which remains cut off for most part of the year and the community members have limited contact with rest of India. Though, proliferation of internet has led to increased awareness amongst the students,  they rarely get to physically experience the same. Forever in Operations Division under the aegis of Fire and Fury Corps, has organised a tour for these children with an aim to provide them rich and varied exposure, as also an opportunity to interact with various eminent personalities of the nation.

Three teachers and 25 students (including 18 girls) of class 10th and 11th of Govt Higher Secondary School, Padum, are part of this National Integration Tour which has been planned to be conducted over 15 days. The tour was flagged off at Kumbathang on 09 November by Maj Gen Nagendra Singh, YSM, SM GOC Forever in Operations Division. The students would be visiting Chandigarh, Delhi and Agra and would interact with senior military officials alongwith eminent personalities from the field of sports, with a view to motivate them for their future endeavours.

To provide them a glimpse of rich culture and traditions of India, the students would be visiting India Gate, Red Fort, National War Memorial and Taj Mahal during the tour. Overall, the tour has been so designed that it ignites their young minds,  enhances their knowledge base and provides them a lifetime experience.

Indian Army remains committed in its efforts to assist the Ladakh administration in providing better education opportunities to the youth from remote areas of Ladakh.
