841 Air Warriors Pass out from Air Force Station Tambaram
An impressive combined Passing out Parade (POP) was held at Air Force Station Tambaram today, wherein 841 air warriors of various technical trades and 07 foreign trainees (Bangladesh Air Force-02, Myanmar Air Force-02, Nigerian Air Force -02, Kenya Air Force-01) successfully completed their trade phase of training. These air warriors have undergone rigorous and intensive training of 64 weeks at Mechanical Training Institute.
The Parade was reviewed by Air Commodore Vipul Singh, Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station Tambaram. This was followed by various activities that include Aerobics, Martial Arts, Drill by Air Warrior Team, Close Quarter Battle, PT Display, Yoga, Cycle Display and Boxing.
The Reviewing Officer (RO) congratulated all passing out trainees and felicitated the promising ones who had performed exceedingly well in different fields. In his address, the RO added that the IAF is witnessing major changes in operational philosophy and is on the path of transforming itself into a strategic force of great caliber. Therefore, to make it happen, sustained efforts from each one of them is the need of the hour. He also emphasized that they must keep on enhancing their technical knowledge and skill and maintain exemplary conduct at all times.
The ‘Best All-Rounder Trophy’ was awarded to Rotash Singh
The ‘Best in General Service Training’ was awarded to Sandeep Kumar
The ‘Best in Trade’ was awarded to Yogesh, Sahdev Verma & Ghanshyam
