Indian Army organises Enter Village Volleyball Competitions in Akhnoor
Indian Army organised an "Inter Village Volleyball Competition" for local youth of border Village in Pallanwala with the theme of "Khelo India". The competition was aimed at mainstreaming sport as a tool for national development by including sportsman spirit, generation and identifying budding athletes of the border region thereby contributions to inclusive sports eco system in the country. In the competition, local youth participated with great zeal and enthusiasm and approx 300 gathered to witness the final match. The teams comprised of players from various Villages, who displayed a very high degree of skill and healthy competitive spirit. The event garnered appreciate from the Awaam populace who gathered to witnesses the final match played between Dhanger village and Pallanwala. The event achieved its aim of galvanizing the young minds to contribute wholeheartedly in Nation building by becoming competitive and responsible citizens. Prizes and trophies were distributed among winners and runner up teams by the Indian Army officials. Team members and locals expressed their heartfelt gratitude to India Army for organising such event.
