Indian Army Celebrates Nationalfarmers Day at Dandihala and Asthanmarg, Reasi

Indian Army organised interactive session with farmers of Dandihala and Asthanmarg, on the occasion of National Farmers Day commemorating the Birth Anniversary of former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh for his contribution towards the upliftment of farmers in the country. The event was attended 45  from the area. The initiative would ensure overall development of locals through awareness and also strengthen the bond between Indian Army and Awam. Farmers play a crucial role in building the economy of the country, hence the event was aimed at empowering them on various government agriculture schemes. The occasion was utilised to provide information on eligibility, procedures and the benefits accrued of the schemes available to the farmers residing in remote areas.
