Puneet Sagar Abhiyan Cleaning of Lalbagh Lake

          Bengaluru, 13 JAN 2023

3 Karnataka Battalion NCC under Group ‘A’, Bengaluru conducted  Cleaning of Lalbagh Lake in Bengaluru  on 12 JAN 2023 from 1100hrs to 1300hrs  under Puneet Sagar Abhiyan programme of the National Cadet Corps aimed at educating people to clean seashores, rivers, lakes  and other water bodiesof plastic and other waste materials.

The Abhiyan was flagged off by Lt Col Damodaran PP, Commanding Officer 3 Karnataka Battalion. Total 93 Cadets from various institutions of 3 Kar Bn NCC, Bengaluru participated in the event with great enthusiasm. The cadets interacted with  local population and spread the awareness on importance of keeping our waterbodies free of plastic and other waste.  The cadets collected 46kgs of plastic and other waste and handed  over to Mr.Sunil, representative of Shakti Plastic,  who is doing a  social service to the people by producing various products from recycled plastic.
