Assam Rifles Provides Training on Alternate Crop Techniques and Organic Farming to  Farmers of Remote Villages Along Indo Myanmar Border

In continuation with the efforts of Assam Rifles to reach out a helping hand for the local population and assist them in being sustainable, Sehlon Battalion under the aegis of HQ IGAR(South) organised training of farmers on Alternate Cropping techniques and Organic Farming in coordination with Krishi Vigyan Kendra team Chandel district on 17 Feb 2023 at Aibol Joupi.

The team distributed seeds to villagers and gave them tips on high yield hybrid seeds, high efficiency in water conservation, judicious use of land , seed germination, summer cooling of crops, sprinkler system for irrigation and other relevant subjects. A total of 72 potential farmers participated in the workshop and were thankful to Civil Administration & Assam Rifles for such valuable initiatives.
