NCC 'C' Certificate Written Examination held in UP 

The NCC 'C' Certificate Written Examination for NCC Cadets of 10 Battalions of NCC in Uttar Pradesh was held on 19 February 2023.

More than 2000 cadets of Lucknow NCC Group Headquarters participated in this written examination. Colonel Naresh Chandra, Officiating Group Commander, NCC Group Lucknow informed that the examination was held at Lucknow, Rae Bareli, Sitapur and Lakhimpur. Col Naresh Chandra informed that around 30,000 cadets from 11 NCC Group Headquarters across Uttar Pradesh appeared in the test. 

Training Officer Lt. Col. Nitin Sahai informed that those who pass 'A' and 'B' grading in this examination will be able to go directly to the Service Selection Board (SSB) through NCC special entry. The training officer further said that every year 140 NCC cadets become officers in the Indian Armed Forces who undergo intensive military training for 9 months at the Officers Training Academy, Chennai.

Colonel Naresh Chandra said that before the written examination, it is mandatory for the cadets to attend two 10-day training camps for 'C' certificate. Where they are given firing, handling, map study, physical and mental training of weapons. Military subjects such as group drill, drill with weapons, field craft, battle craft etc. are taught so that one can give serve the nation through military service.

The Commanding Officers, Adm. Officers of all the Battalions, NCC Associate Officers from the Colleges and Instructors from the Services were present during the examination
