Assam Rifles Organised Friendly Volleyball Match at Khopijang Village in Chandel District, Manipur

Phundrei Battalion under the aegis of IGAR (South) organised a friendly volleyball match with local youths of Khopijang village, Chandel District, Manipur on 21 February 2023.

The volleyball match was organised under FIT INDIA MOVEMENT to encourage the youth towards sports and fitness.

Subsequent interaction with the youth was also held where arrays of events and development activities were discussed, which foster the healthy relations with youth and students. The youths were also briefed on the importance of sports in developing fitness and the value of being good sportsmen in order to get enrolled in Assam Rifles. The event saw a large participation from youths from the Village and nearby areas.

The match culminated with prize distribution and refreshments for all players. The youths appreciated the efforts of Assam Rifles for developing interest in sports which will further assist them in joining defence forces.
