Moreh Battalion Inaugurates Newly Constructed Football Ground at New Champhai Village

In continued efforts to work for the betterment of the local populace, Moreh Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarter Inspector General Assam Rifles (South) constructed a new Football ground at New Champhai Village under Army Military Civic Action Operation Sadbhavan Project and handed over the same to Village Chief in the presence of villagers on 23 February 2023.

The Battalion has been making continuous efforts to address the grievances and to ensure a better and positive environment to promote sports culture among the youth. The villagers extended their heartfelt gratitude to the Assam Rifles for the noble gesture as the construction of Football ground will help foster the spirit of sportsmanship and physical exercise in the youth.

The project will serve as an impetus to improve the relations as well as build mutual trust between Security Forces and the locals by fulfilling long pending aspirations of the villagers and subsequently contributing towards Khelo India and Fit India campaign launched by the Govt of India.
