Assam Rifles Felicitated Veer Nari

Sajik Tampak Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquater Inspector General Assam Rifles (South) felicitated two Veer Naris from Chamoli District and one Veer Nari from Nainital, Uttarakhand on 23 February 2023.

Welfare of Veer Naris and widows is the top priority of Assam Rifles. To make this noble endeavour meaningful, the unit representatives of Sajik Battalion under the outreach programme on the occasion of Assam Rifles Raising Day visited Veer Naris Smt Manju Devi wife of Late Rifleman Govind Singh, Smt Munni Kaire Bisht wife of Late Rifleman Mahender Singh at Chamoli district and Smt Gayatri Devi wife of Late Rifleman Dhanichand at Nainital, Uttarakhand  on 23 February 2023. As a token of love and compassion few commemorative gifts and sweets were presented to Veer Naris on behalf of Sajik Battalion.

This event was a reflection of an important tenet of the age old traditions of Assam Rifles to respect martyr’s families. The Veer Naris appreciated the initiatives taken by Sajik Tampak battalion.
