Interaction With Meria Paibis

Loktak Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) Interacted with Meria Paibi Members at Company Operating Base, Kumbi, District-Bishnupur (Manipur) on 26 Feb 2023.

The interaction was aimed at promoting good relations and bonhomie amongst the Assam Rifles and local populace especially existing women organization. The event was attended by 40 Meria Paibi members and 10 locals of Bishnupur District. The meeting was chaired by Company Commander, Kumbi Company Operating Base.

The meeting enabled a free and willing interaction between Assam Rifles and Meria Paibi Members allowing various issues ranging from improving the education system, medical facilities and cordial relationship for improvement of the society in general. The Company Commander highlighted the importance of Meria Paibi in empowerment of women and urged them to cooperate in overall benefit and betterment of the society. The gathering appreciated the efforts and cordial assistance of Assam Rifles in maintaining peace and tranquility in the area.
