Distribution of Essential Commodities by Assam Rifles

In its campaign under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan; Loktak Battalion under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) interacted with “Youth of Reformation and Progressive Trust (Rehabilitation Centre)” and distributed essential commodities at Company Operating Base, Komlakhong, District-Bishnupur (Manipur) on 27 Feb 2023.

Company Operating Base, Komlakhang of Loktak Battalion took the opportunity to help approx 30 local youths of Reformation and Progressive Trust of Komlakhong village, Bishnupur District. During the interaction battalion also distributed essential commodities. The aim of interaction was to impart knowledge regarding alcohol addiction, drug abuse, ill effects of drugs and its negative consequences in human body. The focus was also on solutions for addicts to come out of it and resettle in their life with a positive attitude.

This is one of the numerous activities undertaken by the Loktak battalion to ensure well-being of the local populace and alleviate their hardships. The initiative is an act of Force multiplier to the organisation’s thought of always standing to the motto of “Friends of the NE People”.
