Indian Army Undertakes Community Development Initiatives in Remote Villages of Manipur
Indian Army has been actively involved in initiatives towards creation of infrastructure, aimed at empowering the youth and Community Development covering remote villages in Manipur. In consonance with the above spirit and based on requests from the local populace, Red Shield Division Signallers distributed complete set of computers including furniture, constructed a football ground, installed Electric and Solar Street Lights in villages of Molhoi and Khunkhun Kuki in Kangpokpi District of Manipur.
The event conducted under Operation Sadbhavana of the Army has contributed towards development of infrastructure, providing sports facilities in line with Khelo India Movement and promoting IT education amongst the local youth in remote areas.
The handing over and dedication ceremony was attended by the village council, villagers and students of both the villages, who expressed their gratitude to the Army and Red Shield Division for the continued support to local communities.
