Assam Rifles Org Wreath Laying Ceremony at Unit War Memorial Kohima Garrison, Nagaland

Kohima Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) organised a solemn Wreath Laying Ceremony at Kohima on 28 Feb 2023 to remember and honour its Braveheart ‘Late Rifleman SurendraLal Arya’. Rifleman SurendraLal Arya was critically injured on 22 Nov 1995 in fight with the insurgents at KalainChara area in Cachar district of Assam and later took his last breath on 28 Feb 1996 while under treatment for the injuries.

‘Smt Kamala Devi’ wife of Braveheart connected with Battalion virtually from Haldwani, Uttrakhand to witness the Wreath Laying Ceremony being organised at Kohima in remembrance of her late Husband. Later, the Unit Commandant interacted with the Smt Kamala Devi and paid his Respect &Naman on behalf of the Battalion.
