Assam Rifles Organised  Friendly Football Match at Waikhong Village in Kakching District, Manipur

Phundrei Battalion under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) organised a friendly football match with local youths of Waikhong village, Kakching District, Manipur on 01 March 2023.

The football match was organised under FIT INDIA MOVEMENT drive to encourage youth towards sports and fitness. More than 25 youths gathered to witness the match and this opportunity was used to brief them on the importance of sports in developing fitness and make them aware about the value of being good sportsman to get enrolled in Assam Rifles.They were also informed about arrays of events and development activities planned to be implemented in their areas to foster healthy relations with the local populace.

The youths appreciated the efforts of Assam Rifles towards FIT INDIA drive by developing interest in youth towards sports which will assist them in joining defence forces.
