Training of the second batch of Agniveers commences
at Artillery Centre, Hyderabad

The Agnipath Scheme launched by the Govt of India has seen a huge positive response from the public, with recruitment all across the nation. While the First Batch of 2263 Agniveers has successfully completed their 9 weeks of Basic Military Training and would be graduating to Advanced Military Training shortly, the Second Batch of 3020 Agniveers has already arrived at the Centre with a lot of aspirations and dreams and has commenced its training from 01 March 2023 at Artillery Centre, Hyderabad. Lieutenant General TK Chawla, PVSM, AVSM, ADC, Director General of Artillery and Senior Colonel Commandant, Regiment of Artillery visited the Centre on 03 March 2023 to overview the Training and Administrative arrangements at the Centre. He appreciated the structured curriculum and the training methodologies adopted by the Artillery Centre, Hyderabad to churn out the best Gunner Agniveers as per the standards required by the Army. He also welcomed the various initiatives and innovative measures adopted by the Centre for training the Agniveers. He complimented the Commandant, Instructors and Administrative Staff for the quality of training being imparted to the Agniveers. He also appreciated the Agniveers for their josh and zeal to serve the motherland.
