Loktak Battalion Conducted Security Meet With Village Chief at Tuibong

Loktak Battalion under the aegis of Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (South) conducted  a Security Meet with Village Chief at Company Operating Base, Tuibong, Churachandpur District  (Manipur) on 03 March 2023. 

The meeting was organized to strengthen the spirit of bonhomie and trust buildup between Assam Rifles and Village Chiefs of local communities. The meeting was attended by twenty two village chiefs of Churachandpur district. The meeting was chaired by the Company Commander, Tuibong Company Operating Base of Loktak Battalion. The meeting enabled an environment for a constructive interaction and sharing of mutually supported views reflecting a positive outlook and deep rooted ties between Assam Rifles and village chiefs for the upliftment of the society in general and rural folks in particular. The Company Commander apprised the village chiefs of various tasks undertaken by Assam Rifles for the betterment of the civil society, comprising of, construction works, organization of medical camps and educational facilities and employment opportunities being provided by the Loktak Battalion.

The Village Chiefs sincerely appreciated the efforts being undertaken by the Loktak Battalion and owed a deep sense of gratitude towards Assam Rifles for its endeavour to provide selfless service towards nation building.
