AIR AWARENESS CAMPAIGN-2023 AT AIR FORCE STATION BHISIANA

Air Force Station Bhisiana hosted an Air Awareness Campaign-2023 on
06 & 07 Mar 23. The two days campaign comprised of a number of breath taking
events which created awareness about IAF capabilities and motivated the youth to
join the Indian Air Force.
The event was kick started by mesmerising performance by Air Force Band
which played patriotic songs and martial tunes. This was followed by the famed
Akash Ganga Sky Diving Team which carried out jump from a Dornier-228 aircraft
from an altitude of 8000 ft above mean sea level. The team showcased the
national flag and the IAF flag in the air, and formed several formations in the sky
as they descended towards the ground. Drill is the bedrock of discipline. To
highlight that aspect, the famous Team Subroto, Air Warrior Drill Team
demonstrated synchronous rifle drill movements in ten different formations.
The skies of Bathinda thereafter came alive with the arrival of the
Ambassadors of the Indian Air Force, the famous Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team.
Led by Group Captain GS Dhillon, the team left a mark on the Bathinda skies with
their precise formation flying. The event culminated with the gravity defying low
level aerobatics display by the SU-30 MKI, the multi role fighter aircraft of IAF.
The impressive and professional display by IAF inspired and motivated
young minds to consider the Indian Air Force as their preferred career choice
towards service of the nation. The campaign definitely left a lasting impression on
the minds the audience. Active support and participation of the civil administration,
Bathinda made the show a grand success.
