ASSAM RIFLES EXTENDS HUMANITARIAN AID AT CHANDEL DISTRICT, MANIPUR
Joupi battalion under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) provided emergency medical aid to an injured child at Phaisenjang Village near Indo-Myanmar Boarder, Chandel District on 09 March 23.
At around 1700 hrs on 09 March 23, 6 year old boy Lalrimom s/o Sosoi resident of L Champhai was travelling on a bike with his parents when the bike skidded on the road and the child sustained severe laceration over his forehead. The child was bleeding profusely and was rescued from the incident site and brought to Phaisenjang COB near Indo-Myanmar Border. He was administered first aid and relief treatment by the Medical Officer and staff of the COB and the medical staff was able to handle the injury with utmost care and compassion.
Later, the injured child was referred to RIMS/JNIMS Hospital of Imphal for further course of treatment. The parents of the child thanked the medical staff for timely medical aid provided to them.
