DGEME visits 1 EME Centre Secunderabad

1 EME Centre Secunderabad, one of the model training Centres of the Indian Army where presently 965 Agniveers are undergoing training as part of the Agnipath scheme announced by Govt of India.
Lieutenant General Tumul Varma, SM, VSM, DGEME & Senior Colonel Commandant of Corps of EME reviewed the infrastructure, training aids and the ongoing training regime of Agniveers at 1 EME Centre Secunderabad on 10 March 2023.
The General officer interacted with the Agniveers who are passing out after Basic Military training on 11 March and also with the newly joined Agniveers with effect from 01 March 23
The General officer was briefed by Brigadier Suresh G, Commandant, 1 EME Centre, about the technical infrastructure, preparedness of staff and the new training methodology infused at the Military Training Battalion and Technical Training battalions of the Centre for the Swift adaptation of Agniveers at the Centre.
The DGEME complimented the efforts put in by the Team 1 EME Centre for the proactive initiatives adopted in the training of Agniveers of the Corps of EME. The General Officer said the Corps of EME is well poised with all necessary training requirements of Agniveers at all nominated training establishments for the transformation of Agniveers to technology-enabled soldiers to provide the assigned engineering support for the field army.
