Loktak Battalion Organised Awareness Campaign for All Youths to Join Indian Army as Agniveer  

It has always been an endeavor of security forces to guide the local youths from remote areas to fulfill their ambitions. In view of above, Loktak battalion under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) organised “Awareness Campaign” for local youths in remote villages of Bishnupur District, guided them about various entries in Indian Army as Agniveer, Central Armed Police Forces and other government and semi government sectors at Komlakhong, Phoubakchao, Konuma villages of Bishnupur District (Manipur) on 12 March 2023.

Loktak Battalion took this opportunity as an initiative to gather around 45 local youths of remote villages of Bishnupur District for the counseling and registration session. The basic aim of this campaign was to impart knowledge on career prospects and recruitment procedure to join Indian Army as Agniveer and Central Armed Police Forces. Loktak battalion assured the youths for all kinds of assistance including free registration, theoretical classes, training of computer skills, physical training and communication skills. 

The campaign was constructive as the youths grasped important information provided to them. The initiative was appreciated by the local youths of Bishnupur District and contiguous area who appreciated the efforts of Loktak battalion in reinforcing their motto of being the “Sentinels of North East”.
