Assam Rifles Constructs Water Storage Tank Under AR Civic Action Programme

In continuation with the efforts of Assam Rifles to assist the local populace, Loktak Battalion of Churachandpur Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) constructed Water Storage Tank under Assam Rifles Civic Action Programme Project at M Songgel village, District-Churachandpur (Manipur) on 15 March 2023.

The Construction of water storage tank was aimed at increasing the water storage facility at the village and assisting villagers in storing water for utilization during dry season. The water storage tank will benefit approx 3000 villagers of M Songgel village and adjacent villages.

The water storage tank was inaugurated by rep of Tuibong Company Operating Base and further handed over to village authorities on 15 March 2023. The event was attended by local villagers of M Songgel village and nearby villages. At the end, they expressed their gratitude and appreciated the efforts put in by Loktak Battalion of Assam Rifles in constructing the water storage tank on the due date of completion.
