Indian Army Organizes Debate Competition at Islamia Faridia Higher Sec School, Kishtwar

Indian Army in its continuous efforts to motivate the youth of the Nation has undertaken a variety of programmes. In continuing with the same spirit, to provide a platform for the school students to showcase their talent and to enhance their self-confidence, Indian Army organized a Debate Competition for school students at Islamia Faridia Higher Sec School, Kishtwar. The aim of the debate competition was to develop the quality of public speaking and power of expression of the students. The competition was to encourage participants to express their opinion in frank and candid manner. The event also aimed at developing nationalism, patriotism and oneness among the children from various strata as they are the future of the nation. A total of 15 students from class 2^nd to 9^th of various schools participated in the competition. The performance of the participating students was encouraging and they impressed the audience by their enthusiasm during the function. The oratory skill of the students was also appreciated by the audience. These events motivate the students to acquire knowledge and be able to participate in such open forums. The winners and runners up were suitably awarded. The locals and school administration appreciated the efforts of Indian Army for organising the event and expressed desire that more such events should be organised in future.
