Medical Camp by Chassad Battalion at Aishi & Kangpat Khullen Villages, Kamjong District, Manipur

Chassad Battalion of 10 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ Inspector General Assam Rifles (South), conducted Medical Camp on 16 March 2023 at Aishi & Kangpat Khullen villages in Kamjong District.

The medical camp was organised to provide medical assistance to the villagers and also spread awareness about major ailments and precautionary measures. The event was conducted under the supervision of Comdt T T Singh, Chief Medical Officer, 8 Assam Rifles.

During the camp, the patients were provided with free consultation and medicines by the team of 8 Assam Rifles. The local populace from Aishi, Molvailup, Kultuk & Kangpat Khullen villages actively participated in the said event and capitalised on the opportunity provided by the Battalion. Total of 77 men, 105 women and 99 children were given treatment & medicines for general ailments. 

In addition to the medical assistance, the villagers were also educated on common diseases and its causes and a sincere endeavour was made to make them aware about the importance of timely vaccination, routine medical check-ups and personal hygiene & sanitation.

Villagers appreciated the efforts of Assam Rifles and conveyed their heartfelt gratitude to Chassad Battalion for addressing their urgent medical needs by providing them with timely medical aid. They also urged Assam Rifles to continue organizing such medical camps regularly for betterment of their community.
