Modi Battalion Rescues Children of Larong Village

Modi Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) rescued seven children of Larong Hostel, Chandel district who ran away from the hostel early in the morning at 0400 hrs on 26 Apr 2023. The warden of the hostel and parents requested Modi Battalion for intervention and rescue.

At once, a special team was launched by the Modi Battalion for rescue of the children. At around 1100 hrs, the children were intercepted by the team near Gen area Mosang Pantha, Chandel.

Children on being rescued were checked thoroughly for injury by the Nursing Assistant and were then handed over to their parents.

The speedy reaction and 'always ready to help' gesture of the Battalion and the Force was highly appreciated by the parents and the local populace. The concerned parents thanked the Battalion for averting a major mishap.
