Inter Village Athletics Meet Organised by Indian Army at Pallanwala, Akhnoor.           

Indian Army an "Inter Village Athletics Meet" for local youth of border villages in Pallanwala Sector with the theme of "Sehat se Barkat". The event aimed at mainstreaming sports for Nation building by identifying budding athletes of the border region and inculcating sportsman spirit thereby contributing to inclusive sports eco system in the region. Sportsman from twelve villages of Pallanwala Sector participated with great zeal and enthusiasm and more than 300 audience gathered to witness & encourage to youth. All team participants displayed a very high degree of skill and healthy competitive spirit. The event received massive appreciation from the local populace who gathered to witness the various type of athletic events. The event achieved its aim of galvanizing the young minds to contribute wholeheartedly in nation building by becoming competitive and responsible citizens. Prizes and trophies were distributed to winners and runner up. Team members and locals expressed their heartfelt gratitude for organising the event and requested for more such sporting events in the future.
