Assam Rifles Extends Assistance for Construction of Pathway in Ukhrul   

Somsai Battalion under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) constructed pathway and levelled the compound of Sakhi- One Stop Centre, Ukhrul District, situated within the premises of Ukhrul District Hospital on 27 Apr 2023.

Sakhi-One Stop Centre provides services to women in distress and rehabilitation for women victims of violence in Ukhrul district. The office complex was devoid of a proper pathway and the ground was uneven. The Centre Administrator of One Stop Centre, Ukhrul, had approached Somsai battalion for construction of a pathway to their office and levelling of the compound premises. As a goodwill measure, an excavator was provided for the construction of the pathway and levelling of grnd free of cost. The work was executed in a single day.

Centre Administrator of One Stop Centre and the staff expressed immense gratitude to Somsai battalion for the prompt response and much-needed assistance.
