Assam Rifles Provide Assistance in Re-Settling of Damaged House of Villager Due to Thunder Storm and Heavy Rainfall

Loktak battalion of HQ IGAR (South) provided assistance to villagers in re-settling of their houses which got damaged due to thunder storm and heavy rainfall in general area Konuma village 04 km from Komlakhong post, District -Bishnupur (Manipur) on 29 Apr 2023.

On receiving request from villagers, Loktak battalion took the initiative and a well constituted team consisting of twenty personnel immediately rushed to the incident site to help out them. The team assisted in resettling the houses of villagers. During the course of work, the villagers formed small teams with Assam Rifles personnel and worked together.

The timely action and commendable job of the battalion was well appreciated by the villagers and this helping act will act as a reinforcement of the battalion’s thought of always standing by the motto of “Friends of the NE People”.
