Assam Rifles Organises Interaction with Village Authorities

Joupi Battalion Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) conducted a friendly interaction with village authorities in Hengshi village (Near Indo-Myanmar Border), Chandel District on 01 May 2023.

In keeping with the undeterred effort of Assam Rifles to reach out to civil society in the region, an informal interaction conducted to discuss the security situation. The discussion also focused to address the problems being faced by the villages coming under Hengshi COB (Near Indo-Myanmar Border). The village authorities have been given assurance that every possible assistance within the capability of Assam Rifles will be provided to them to resolve the issues.

A total of 06 village authorities from Hengshi, Tolbung and Tuiganj villages took part during an interaction at Hengshi COB, Chandel District.

The village authoritoes appreciated the efforts of Joupi Battalion for conducting such interaction which will help in strengthening cooperation and understanding between the Security Forces and local population.
