Assam Rifles Organised Awareness Campaign at Mangolnganbi Foundation School, Ningthoukhong

With an endeavor to help the locals from remote areas to fulfill their ambitions, Loktak Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) organised a ‘Awareness Lecture Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse at Mangolnganbi Foundation School, Ningthoukhong, District-Bishnupur (Manipur) on 03 May 2023.

The basic aim of awareness campaign was to impart knowledge regarding alcohol addiction, drug abuse, ill effects of drugs, its negative consequences in human body and mind. The students were also encouraged to spread the word within their own family and society for the benefits and progress of Manipur region.

Teachers were requested to emphasize adverse effects of alcohol, drug abuse and illicit trafficking to students regularly during their class. Total of 40-50 students and 12 teaching staff participated in the awareness lecture organized by Ningthoukhong Company of Loktak Battalion.

 At the end, students and teaching staff expressed their gratitude and appreciated the efforts put in by the Loktak Battalion of Assam Rifles.
