Awareness on Cyber Crimes Organised at Thapala Mohalla, Poonch

The use of cellphones and internet is increasing dramatically all over the world. This is giving rise to questions about the consumers’ security and privacy. To eradicate the attempt of cyber criminals to target the Awaam, the people friendly Indian Army conducted a lecture at Thapala, Mohalla in District Poonch to educate them on various types of cyber / internet crimes. The young students gained knowledge about simple preventive measures required to be followed to avoid becoming victims of hacking, ransomware, espionage, financial theft, phishing activities etc. They were also enlightened on essential safety features while using various social media platforms like Facebook, WhatsApp etc and banking applications in detail. The audience also participated enthusiastically in the group discussion to gain more knowledge on Cyber Crimes and appreciated the Indian Army efforts to disseminate such useful information.
