Celebrating 25 Years of the Pokhran Nuclear Test-II: Public Exhibition Organized on 10 May 23

11 May 2023 marks the completion of 25 years of Pokhran Nuclear Test-II. W.e.f. 09 to 13 May 2023, the Govt of India, Ministry of Defence is celebrating the landmark event as an important milestone of India’s Nuclear Power aspiration.

Ministry of Defence (DGQA) has entrusted NBC Equipment Wing (NBC EW), Pune the responsibility of coordinating the events of the celebration in DGQA organizations all over India. With a focus on the future scenario of CBRN aggression, NBCE Wing, Pune is taking this opportunity to extend public awareness on Radiological Dispersal Device (Dirty Bomb) disposal, Drone launched disaster reduction and nuclear-contaminated water purification etc. For this purpose, NBCE Wing, Pune is organizing a public Exhibition of Nuclear Radiation and Contamination Protection Equipment, demonstrations by Emergency Response Authorities, and a screening of films on the subject.
