Indian Army Assists Victims of Road Accident on NH 144A in Akhnoor

Liaqat Hussain, a resident of Rajouri moving to his home from Jammu alongwith his family of four others in his car, experienced a near fatal accident due to the turbulent rains. The car, slipped near Tanda Location of Akhnoor on NH 144 A. He lost control of the vehicle and slid off the road falling into a shallow gorge. Indian Army personnel deployed near the accident site witnessed the mishap and immediately rushed to help the family. The troops went inside the gorge and safely evacuated the family from the vehicle. After assisting them and rendering first aid, the soldiers contacted the police and intimated about the incident. They also retrieved the car with the help of local people nearby. The family expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Indian Army. The local police and population also applauded the efforts and prompt response by the Indian Army troops in assisting the victims.
