Assam Rifles Offers Sliver of Happiness

HQ IGAR (South) and all the refugees present at Mantripukhri relief camp were ubilant to hear the cries of the newly born who was delivered by a 38 yrs old women namely Mrs Esther Hontah wife of Sanlen Hontah, Asst Prof of DM College Campus, Imphal.

During the ongoing disturbances in the area. Mrs Esther was rescued by a party of Assam Rifles to the Mantripukhri based IGAR (South). Team of doctors present conducted the successful c-section delivery of the baby and further declared both mother and child being healthy and happy.

Presently, there are nearly 3000 refugees present in the Mantripukhri camp and all are elated and motivated to hear the successful delivery of the baby. The mother wholeheartedly expressed here gratitude to the team of doctors and Assam Rifles for the intricate aid and selfless support extended during the hard time for the family.
