Pallel Town Sets an Example of Peace for Manipur

While Manipur state witnessed unprecedented violence, people of Pallel, Kakching District  irrespective of  being from Kuki and Meitei communities came together to maintain peace and tranquillity in the difficult times. The meeting between village committees of Kuki and Meitei communities of Pallel Town was hosted & coordinated by Assam Rifles in coordination with civil administration. The members from both communities expressed their trust and belief in each other and resolved to take all the measures to maintain peace in the area and stand as an epitome of peace for Manipur. The need to maintain constant communication, warding off rumours & practicing harmony for maintaining peace in the area was highlighted.

The meeting was a landmark success and acted as an harbinger of peace for Manipur. People from both the communities spoke, smiled and pledged for a better tomorrow. It is believed that success of this meeting will spread across in whole of Manipur.
