Assam Rifles Facilitated Evacuation for Stranded People

HQ IGAR (South) facilitated evacuation for the stranded people who were staying at IGAR (South) based Mantripukhri relief camp on 11 May 2023.

Due to disturbances in the state nearly 3000 refugees from several areas across the state were taking refuge in Mantripukhri relief camp, they were provided a safe escorted passage to their respective domicile. A total of 14 vehicles with 246 people were given safe escorted passage to different parts of Ccpur & Kangpokpi while simulataneously relocating people in different parts Imphal city. The refugees wholeheartedly expressed their gratitude to Assam Rifles for their selfless support & unstinted aide to the people of Manipur in their most difficult times.
