Assam Rifles Inaugurated Renovated Basketball Court at ST. Xavier College Alongwith NAAC Grade 'A' Award Ceremony of ST. Xavier College at Jalukie Town, Peren District, Nagaland

Assam Rifles Bn under the aegis of HQ IGAR (N) event that brought together sports enthusiasts and dignitaries alike, St. Xavier's College in Jalukie celebrated the inauguration of its state-of-the-art basketball ground on 12 May 2023.  The  occasion was made even more special by the presence of Mr Y Patton, Deputy Chief Minister of Nagaland, who graced the event as the Chief Guest for the NAAC Grade "A" Award ceremony alongside Major General Vikas Lakhera, SM, IG AR(N) as Guest of Honour. Mr Y Patton, the Deputy Chief Minister of Nagaland in his speech congratulated the college on their achievement and emphasized the significance of quality education in empowering future generations. The prestigious recognition in the form of NAAC Grade "A" Award bestowed upon the college celebrates their commitment to academic excellence and overall institutional development. The guest of honour Major General Vikas Lakhera, SM, IG AR(N) delivered an inspiring speech, emphasizing the importance of sports in shaping the holistic development of individuals and commending St. Xavier's College for their dedication to nurturing talent. The event was also attended by District Magistrate, Superintendent of Police, ADC, Commandant of the 9th Nagaland Armed Police Battalion, Vicar General, and President of the Nagaland Zone Parishad Organization (NZPO) were also in attendance.
