Assam Rifles Celebrates Mother's Day in Peren District, Nagaland

Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (N) organised a Women Empowerment Campaign and various other awareness programmes in various far flung areas of Peren District of Nagaland in celebration of Mother's Day on 14 May 23. Assam Rifles conducted lectures to spread awareness among young mothers, women and villagers on how Women empowerment equips and allows women to make life-determining decisions through different societal problems. The young women were also educated on how we can empower mothers and witness profound changes happening to create a better world. Various govt schemes like Beti Bachao Beti padhao, Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, Balika Samriddha Yojana, and national schemes of incentives to girls for secondary education were covered briefly. Sweets and refreshments were organised for the attendees. A total of 48 villagers attended the lecture.
