Assam Rifles Organised Awareness Campaign on Importance of Wildlife Conservation in Tening Village, Peren District of Nagaland

In an effort to protect environment from deforestation and wildlife from hunting  Assam Rifles under the theme Our Planet, Our Home organised an awareness lecture for Students of SFS School at  Tening village of Peren district on 19 May 2023. The Assam Rifles personnel alongwith Village authorities  organised an in depth awareness lecture for Students with an aim to preserve environment & nurture the wildlife ecosystem. Villagers were further briefed about ill effects of deforestation vis-a-vis planting trees, reducing usage of fossil fuels and adopting greener methods of transport to reduce overall carbon footprints and help sustain global warming. A total of 18 students & 03 school staff attended the lectureThe gesture of Assam Rifles was appreciated by all attendees. The endeavor of Assam Rifles to ensure social empowerment and upliftment in all spheres of society will go a long way in harnessing peace and prosperity in the region.The school Staff & village authorities acknowledged the efforts and expressed gratitude to Assam Rifles for their selfless service for the people.
