Combined Annual Training Camp : 3 Karnataka Battalion NCC

3 Karnataka Battalian NCC is conducting Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) & Inter Group Sports Shooting Competition (IGSSC) at Rashtriya Military School (RMS), Bangalore from 19 May to 28 May 2023. The camp was opened by Lt Col Damodaran P P, Commanding Officer, 3 KarBn NCC in presence of Lt Col Anilkumar P, Administrative Officer.  The aim of the camp is to orient the cadets to military way of life and impart quality training to them.  More than 400 cadets are undergoing rigorous routine of Drill, Weapon training, Map reading, Field Craft & Battle Craft Skills in the sprawling Campus of RMS.  02 Officers, 08 ANOs, 15 PI Staff and 11 Civilian Staff are involved in imparting training to the cadets.

Inter Group Sports Shooting Competition is also being conducted at IBLUR firing range on the sidelines of the camp in which 120 selected cadets from all Six Groups of Kar & Goa Dte are Competing for the coveted IGSSC banner.

Apart from physical training, the cadets are exposed to various other activities including cultural, drawing and debate competitions.On the occasion of world environment day, which is to be observed on 05 Jun 2023,  the cadets took a pledge to be the Savior of environment by leading a  environment friendly life by themselves as well and motivating others around them to follow the same. A total of 393 cadets from various NCC Units/Sub Units participated in the event.

A Work shop on skill development and employability skills for NCC cadets was conducted by noted Cine/TV artist, Skill development tutor and State Committee member of  NCCAAMrs Yamuna Srinidhi. She covered various topics of Goal Setting, Perseverance  Communication skill, Self confidence,  she also stressed up on the importance of  Fitness and social service to the cadets.
