Convocation Ceremony Held at Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala

Indian Naval Academy held its 21^st Convocation Ceremony on 26 May 23. 101 Midshipmen of the 104 Indian Naval Academy Course were awarded their B.Tech degrees in the presence of their parents by Shri Veezhinathan Kamakoti, Director, IIT Madras. Vice Admiral Puneet K Bahl, AVSM, VSM, Commandant, Indian Naval Academy (INA), Rear Admiral Ajay D Theophilus, Deputy Commandant & Chief Instructor INA, Rear Admiral Rajvir Singh, Principal INA, Officer Instructors and Professorial Cadre Officers were in attendance.

The Ceremony marked the culmination of a rigorous four year academic regimen, wherein the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) accredited B.Tech degree program which includes Navy-specific military subjects, is concurrently run with a strenuous outdoor and physical training curriculum. The graduating Midshipmen acquired their B.Tech degree in Applied Electronics and Communication Engineering (AEC), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) or Mechanical Engineering (ME), under the aegis of the Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.

The Chief Guest congratulated the graduating Midshipmen, their parents as well as their instructors and staff at INA. He administered the Convocation Oath and also awarded trophies to meritorious Midshipmen. The ‘Chief of the Naval Staff Rolling Trophy’ for the Midshipman adjudged best in Applied Electronics and Communication (AEC) stream was awarded to Midshipman Christo Biju. The ‘Chief of the Naval Staff Rolling Trophy’ for best in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) stream was awarded to Midshipman Rahul Karki. The ‘Chief of the Naval Staff Rolling Trophy’ for best in Mechanical Engineering (ME) stream was awarded to Midshipman LHC Denuwan.
