Air Force Ambala Celebrates "Meri Maati Mera Desh" Campaign
As a part of the "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav" (AKAM) to commemorate 75 years of Independence, The Govt of India has launched 'Meri Maati Mera Desh' campaign in the country. Various activities in line with the theme were conducted at Air Force Station Ambala from 09 to 15 August, 2023.
An 'Amrit Vatika' was developed by planting of 75 saplings of indigenous species to replenish mother earth as 'Vasudha Vandhan' at Dhulkot Gram Panchayat near the station on 14 August,2023. The 'Panch Pran' pledge was also taken at Air Force Station Ambala on 15 Aug 23, in which the local residents also participated.
A felicitation ceremony to honour our freedom fighters was also organised as a part of 'Veeron ka Vandan' programme at Air Force School Ambala on 15 August, 2023. The retired personnel from the three services, Central and State Police participated in the felicitation programme. On the occasion, the National flag was unfurled by Air Cmde S Krishnan, Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station Ambala, who was the Chief Guest of the ceremony.
The campaign was conducted successfully in co-ordination with District Youth Officer from Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Mrs Arshdeep Kaur. Wholehearted participation by all personnel of the station, their family members and residents of localities /panchayat made the event a grand success.
