Assam Rifles Organised Medical Camp & Chemical Sanitisation at  Relief Camps in Sanaikot & Khuga Dam, District Churachadpur

Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South), being a forerunner in extending help and providing aid to civil authorities in times of crisis, organized a medical camp for the displaced civilians in Sanaikot Relief Camp. 72 displaced civilians which included 07 men , 27 women and 38 children from the Camp were examined by the Chief Medical Officer and essential medicines were distributed to the displaced civilians.

The ongoing ethnic clashes has resulted in displacement of a huge number of villagers including ESMs from the riot affected areas. The relief camps are inhabiting considerable people with minimal infrastructure & administrative arrangements. With onset of monsoons , the risk of contagious diseases increases manyfolds and seizing the gravity of the same, Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) carried out chemical sanitization of the relief camp at Khuga dam on 23 Aug 2023. The team also interacted with the displaced people and boosted their morale and confidence in handling the present disturbed situation.
