Assam Rifles Provide Humanitarian and Medical Aid

The unyielding commitment of Assam Rifles to humanitarian welfare is evident through an exceptional medical aid initiative covering a wide region that has positively impacted lives across the region.  In this drive, around 500 citizens were provided with medical aid in a series of camps organised in Tengnoupal ,Chandel & Churachadpur Districts.

Assam Rifles at Tengnoupal organised a “Med Aid Camp” in the remote Kwatha village. The 20-member medical team provided comprehensive healthcare, rendering aid to 179 villagers.  A medical camp in the villages of Laijang and Thingphai in Chandel District was conducted which benefitted 221 locals. 72 displaced civilians from  the camp at  Khuga Dam in Churachandpur were examined by the Chief Medical Officer and essential medicines were distributed to the displaced civilians. Being well aware of the increased risk of contagious diseases increases due to monsoons,  Assam Rifles also carried out chemical sanitization of the relief camp.

Assam Rifles acknowledged the support and collaboration of partners, stakeholders, and the communities themselves in making these endeavors a success. The collective spirit exhibited in this humanitarian mission underlines the remarkable bond between Assam Rifles and the communities of Tengnoupal, Chandel and Churachandpur Districts.
