Commander of Brazilian Army Visits Bengaluru
Brazilian Military Chief General Tomas Miguel Mine Ribeiro Paiva visited Bengaluru on 31st Aug 2023. He was received by Maj Gen Ravi Murugan, AVSM, General Officer Commanding, Karnataka & Kerala Sub Area.
The General interacted with General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Command, Lt Gen A K Singh, AVSM, YSM, SM, VSM at HAL Airport, who was on a day’s visit to the city. The Brazilian Army Chief is on an industrial visit and was briefed on various indigenous weapons and equipment. The visit aims to highlight the Indian Army’s weapon system capabilities and strengthen defence co-operation between the two nations. A banquet was hosted by the Army in his honour at ASC Centre & College, where he interacted with other Senior officers of the three services.
