Mountaineering Expedition Mount Thelu

This mountain training expedition is being conducted by Directorate General NCC, Delhi for Mount Thelu in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand. 

A total of 24 NCC cadets are participating in this expedition, which includes 12 senior division boys and 12 senior division girls. The team is being led by Colonel Amit Bisht, Army Medalist, who is himself a mountaineer. 

The team at Nehru Mountain Training Institute, Uttarkashi has worked hard to make this expedition a success. The objective of this expedition is to awaken the spirit of adventurous activity among the cadets. 

On 08 September 2023, the Mountaineering Thelu team is marching from Harsil to Bhojbasa and further to Mount Thelu which is a 6002 meter high mountain. 

NCC Directorate, Uttarakhand conveyed their best wishes  to all the cadets and the team for a successful completion of this expedition.
